Third afternoon in a row post

Before the start of the race.

There were some strange sights (oh to be thin enough to be in a red body stocking).

Flowers growing in the grass outside a couple of embassies and the Hotel Des Indies, Den Hagg's #1 hotel.

Rene enjoying the sun.

The sunny parts of the terraces were jam packed.

The Mauritshuis, home of 'you know who'.

William of Orange looking over the city where he had been king.

We walked into the city this afternoon and caught some of the action at the City-Pier marathon.  33000 competitors including 8300 school children in their own race.  Following that, we ventured into the Centrum in glorious 11C sun to have a beer or two.  It was busy, and very pretty - it doesn't even have to be hot; just calm and warm and above all sunny.
